Overview

The cover bears the National Stamp Day postmark 6 May 2006. It also carries a first class stamp from HM The Queen's 80th birthday issue - either of HM Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother along with HM Queen Elizabeth II or a stamp of HM Queen Elizabeth II - one cover will be selected at random. This links to the BPMA exhibition Elizabeth: Queen & Icon about Her Majesty's life in stamps, which opened in April 2006.

The cover comes with an insert charting the development of the GPO logo, with illustrations from The Royal Mail Archive.
